How much did your total garbage decrease? Make a line graph of time in weeks versus total amount of trash. Which type of garbage decreased the most - dry garbage or food garbage? Which was easier to reduce? How much garbage did you keep out of the landfill during your experiment?
My hypothesis was incorrect. I reduced my dry garbage by 5.5% not 55% and it weights 0.9kg ( the dry rubbish) in the first week and it weights 0.85kg the third week. The reason it reduced was because my family tried really hard to recycle plastic glass bottles, paper, milk containers, cardboard and snack wrappers.
My food item was reduced by 15% not 55% because I had only 2.0kg of food item on the first week and 1.71kg on the third week. So there is not much to reduce but if I had a compost bin I could but the food scraps in the compost the things that I'm putting in should be banana skins, apple core ,orange skins vegetable scraps(lift overs) and egg shells and if I did put them in it I could've reached my hypothesis.
I think I didn't reached my goal is because I didn't have enough rubbish,on the first week I only had 2.9kg of dry and food rubbish but other people in esol had round about 4-7kg of rubbish so if I had it I can reach my goal (I REPEAT I CAN REACH MY GOAL IF I HAD ENOUGH WEIGHT ^_^).
My dry carbbage was the litest because there is only some snack wrappers and cardboards and the food item was the easiest to reduce because my family buy too much food that we can't finish eating but at the part were my family have to write a action plan my family did the shop for one week or 5days plan. Some food can be compost but I don't have any compost bins, Some can be feed to pet foods.
I think my family had keep 5 out of a billion or a million or 10 thousand rubbish out of a landfill during the Experiment.
Conclusion
